Click here to see a good run!

MeanOldPete is a 1979 model 352 Peterbilt Cabover with period factory paint and stripes(style 114).The engine is an 8V92TA Detroit, originally rated at 445hp. The transmission is an Allison HD740 series 5 - speed automatic and the suspension is Peterbilt Air Spring. The truck was in regular use in the Kansas city area until 2001. Eric Eden of Burchard, Nebraska built it into a pro stock semi about four years ago as 'Spare Parts 2'. Click here for pictures of the truck pulling in Nebraska and Missouri.

Tony Bruegger purchased the truck in autumn 2005 after seeing it advertised on www.pulloff.com and got the truck from Nebraska to Baltimore(thanks Jim,also a Peterbilt man, see here)Also thanks to Tony and Meribeth Wortmann from Missouri who managed to load a red tractor chassis on top of the Pete!Particular thanks also to Andrew Harper who helped rescue the truck from the docks at Southampton.

Started pulling in May 2006 at Bristol, then to the Fife show with Little Gold and Herbie and had a great days pulling, although Mean Old Pete was beaten in the pull off by Harry Panton's Mack Magnum. Many thanks to Alex Reary for his hospitality. We recommend the hotel pub in Dairsey for the finest local beef !

The Pete below comes from our favourite Peterbilt wreck site and is included because we all have days like that!. The pic below that is from Paul Bruno who sold us the black Pete. His new driver ran into the back of him.Really!!.
